The five volumes cover, respectively, the years 1273-1399, 1400-1467, 1468-1524, 1525-1552, and 1553-1620. According to Theodor Wiedemann, the author, whose name does not appear in the manuscript, is Johann Müllner. The notes of the copyist at the end of the third volume, "Finis Tomi Quarti," and, likewise, "Finis Tomi Quinti" at the end of the fourth volume, indicate that the initial volume is lacking.
